The parents of Vera Krautsova (Vera Kravtsova), a 26-year-old Belarusian woman killed in Myanmar, have received a document from Myanmar confirming the cremation of her body, “Komsomolskaya Pravda” reported.

The outlet cited a letter stating that Vera, “who worked in the village of Phlu in Myanmar, died of a heart attack. The body was cremated in the village of Inkin on October 16 at 12:00.”

Komsomolskaya Pravda” did not specify how or from whom the letter was obtained.

According to the paper’s version, the woman was not killed, and her body was allegedly cremated after the case was made public in the media.

Earlier today, Thailand’s immigration service denied reports that 26-year-old Belarusian model Vera Krautsova had been kidnapped in Thailand. Thai authorities said she had traveled from Thailand to Myanmar voluntarily.

On October 15, it became known that 26-year-old Belarusian Vera Krautsova had gone missing in Myanmar. Russian media reported that she had flown to Bangkok for work but ended up in a scam center in Myanmar. She lost contact with her family on October 4, and her relatives were later informed of her death. Some reports claimed that she had allegedly been sold for organ harvesting — a claim that was also reprinted by Belarusian state media.

Belarusian Ambassador to Vietnam and Myanmar (concurrently) Vladimir Borovikov accused “certain individuals” of hyping the story and spreading “false and unverified” information.

On October 16, Russia’s REN TV, citing a source, reported that Vera Krautsova had been found dead. According to preliminary data, the death was believed to be of a criminal nature.
