The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, during a selective inspection, identified violations at the “Green” store on Mazurova Street in Gomel.
The sale of more than 200 units of expired goods worth over 800 rubles was stopped at the retail facility. These included sweets and flour-based confectionery, sausages, chips, spices, sunflower seeds, and cosmetic products. Some items had expired as early as June and September of last year — including wheat flour.
It is noted that the store had been notified of the upcoming inspection a month in advance, but no measures were taken to eliminate the violations.
The operation of the retail outlet has been suspended from April 2 until the violations are remedied, the agency’s press service reported.
