A total of 152,571 Schengen visas were issued in Belarus in 2025, according to data published by the European Commission. Of those, 129,672 were multiple-entry visas.
More than 157,000 applications for Schengen visas were submitted in Belarus during the year. A total of 3,652 applicants were refused visas.
Overall, EU and Schengen Area consulates received nearly 12 million applications for short-stay visas last year, an increase of 1.8% compared with 2024. More than 10 million visas were issued, including 5.1 million multiple-entry visas.
The list of the five countries with the highest number of applications remained largely unchanged: China (1.8 million), Turkey (1.25 million), India (1.15 million), Russia (679,000) and Morocco (620,000).
