Prosecutors have sent to court a criminal case against a minor from Minsk. He is accused of large-scale theft. The total amount of damage is estimated at 332,000 rubles.
According to the prosecution, the 15-year-old repeatedly visited a female acquaintance in the autumn of 2025. During one of the visits, he noticed an envelope containing money on a bedside table. The teenager stole it. It contained $18,800.
During another visit, the teenager walked around the apartment and found a backpack containing 80,000 euros in the room of his acquaintance’s parents. He also stole that money.
“Subsequently, the young man told his friend and his friend’s parents about the large amount of money, but did not disclose its true origin. Notably, the friend’s parents exchanged the foreign currency at exchange offices and handed the money over to the defendant”, the prosecutor’s office added.
The teenager spent the money on personal needs, including visits to entertainment venues and the purchase of clothing.
The teenager was placed under the supervision of guardians as a preventive measure.
