Alyaksandr Lukashenka will fly to Kyrgyzstan today, where a meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council will take place tomorrow.

According to Lukashenka’s press service, the organization’s participants will sum up the results of its work and review issues of international and regional security. Lukashenka intends to speak “on current issues of ensuring collective security in the Eurasian space and outline areas that require special attention from partners.”

A delegation of Belarusian military personnel, together with Minister of Defense Viktar Khrenin, has already departed for Bishkek. Before the meeting of the Collective Security Council, sessions of the councils of defense ministers, foreign ministers, and security council secretaries of the CSTO member states will take place.

During the visit, Lukashenka plans to meet with President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

After Kyrgyzstan, Lukashenka will embark on a tour. According to the press service, it will include countries of Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Last week, Alyaksandr Lukashenka, during a briefing with the head of his administration Dzmitry Kruty (Dmitry Krutoi), said that “a very large trip across the southern part of the planet is expected, starting from Myanmar, Oman, Algeria, and so on.”
