Lithuania’s State Security Department Warns Of Another KGB Provocation

Lithuania’s State Security Department has warned of a new provocation by Belarusian special services. The warning concerns a video published on YouTube.

The author of the video presents themselves as the KGB of Belarus. The video, in Lithuanian, speaks about problems “caused by the injustice of the government.” Those wishing to discuss the issue are invited to contact the KGB via a designated “secure channel.”

The State Security Department urges the public not to fall for provocations and reminds that Belarusian and Russian special services use social media to search for potential agents and carry out recruitment. The department calls on citizens to report any recruitment attempts or suspicions of espionage.
