Defence Minister Viktar Khrenin held the first stage of summarising the results of the combat readiness inspection of the Belarusian army. This was reported by the Defence Ministry.

An analysis was conducted of the actions of military command bodies and troops, with an emphasis on their readiness to carry out tasks within the established timeframes.

“I would note that an inspection of this scale was organised and conducted in several stages. In modern conditions, the readiness of our country, and of all of us, to defend our sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity by force of arms is of primary importance,” Khrenin said.

According to him, the main goal of the inspection was to determine the readiness and capability of the operational command leadership, subordinate communications, security and support units, as well as a separate mechanised brigade, to transition from peacetime to wartime conditions and carry out assigned tasks.

“Particular attention was paid to increasing the survivability of units in conditions of active operations by enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups and unmanned aircraft.

The inspection had a number of specific features. In particular, for the first time, the inspection activities concluded with a comprehensive exercise involving a combined force,” Khrenin added.
