The Belarusian government has changed the terms of the preferential credit program “For Domestic Goods.” Manufacturers wishing to sell products under the program must obtain certificates confirming domestic production. Such certificates are issued by organizations of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The existing list of eligible goods (35 product groups) remains unchanged for participation in the program. However, no specific list of manufacturers is provided, the government’s press service reported.
The program has also been expanded to include preferential loans for sanatorium and health resort services provided by organizations within Belarus.
The “For Domestic Goods” program allows customers to take out loans from Belarusbank at an annual rate of 4% to purchase goods from the approved list.
