Five Russian citizens, including the driver, are among those injured in a bus crash in Belarus’s Vitsyebsk Region, the Russian Embassy in Belarus said.
They are receiving medical care in the surgery and traumatology departments of Orsha City Hospital No. 1.
“Russian diplomats are in contact with law enforcement agencies, relevant authorities and medical institutions of the Republic of Belarus and are ready to provide the necessary assistance to the injured Russian citizens,” the diplomatic mission said.
During the night, a Brest–Moscow bus veered off the road and overturned into a ditch on the M1 highway in Talachyn District. There were 14 people on board, including two drivers. One passenger, preliminarily identified as a Belarusian citizen, died at the scene.
Thirteen people were taken to Talachyn Central District Hospital and Orsha City Hospital No. 1. After examination, three patients at Talachyn Central District Hospital were referred for outpatient treatment. Of those hospitalised at Orsha City Hospital No. 1, four were admitted to the surgery department, five to traumatology and one to intensive care. They were diagnosed with injuries of varying severity.
