Customs Foils Attempts to Smuggle Pesticides Disguised as Fertiliser

Brest Customs has uncovered two attempts to bring plant protection products into Belarus from Poland.

In both cases, the individuals were travelling through the green corridor. In the first case, the driver of a vehicle had poured plant protection products into a container labelled as OSD Cynknawozdolistny zinc foliar fertiliser. Customs officers determined that the container actually held a pesticide.

In the second case, a passenger in a vehicle attempted to use a similar method.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated.
