Belarus’ State Border Committee has warned of a sharp increase in queues of passenger vehicles leaving for Poland.
“Over the past 24 hours, the number of passenger vehicles entering Poland has increased from 20 to 910 units. More than 750 cars are waiting in front of the Polish checkpoint in Terespol (Brest). Another 100 and 55 passenger vehicles are waiting near Kuznica Bialostocka (Bruzgi) and Bobrowniki (Berestovitsa) respectively,” the committee said.
As usual, the State Border Committee blamed its Polish counterparts for creating the queues. According to the Belarusian agency, Polish border crossings processed only 27% of the normal volume of passenger vehicles during the day.
