Belarus set a new all-time temperature record on June 29. The air temperature reached 39.4C in Pinsk, according to Belhydromet data as of 2:10 p.m.
The previous record of 38.9C was set in Homiel on August 8, 2010.
A red-level weather warning remains in effect across the country today due to extremely high temperatures.
