The death toll in Kyiv has risen after a Russian missile struck a residential building in the Darnytskyi district. As of the morning of May 15, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, 24 people were confirmed dead, including three children.
The strike caused the collapse of an entrance section of a multi-storey residential building. Rescue operations have been ongoing for more than 24 hours. During that time, rescuers examined 2,800 square meters of the site and removed more than 3,000 cubic meters of debris.
A total of 47 people, including two children, were injured in yesterday’s massive attack on Kyiv. Thirty people were rescued.
A day of mourning for the victims has been declared in Kyiv today.
