Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has spoken with Belarusian political prisoners who were released and expelled to Ukraine on Saturday.
“This morning I spoke with freed political prisoners from Belarus. I highly value the kind words about Ukraine and Ukrainians and the clear, principled position regarding Russian aggression. This is important. Ukraine will continue to help everyone who helps us defend independence and human lives,” Zelenskyy said following the conversation.
A photo published by the Ukrainian president’s press service shows that the video call included Viktar Babaryka, Aliaksandr Fiaduta, Maryna Zolatava, Maria Kalesnikava, Maksim Znak, and Uladzimir Labkovich.
