Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has again spoken about Russia’s attempts to draw Belarus into the war. Ukraine intends to inform its partners about this. Zelenskyy made the statement after a meeting with the head of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate Oleh Ivashchenko.
“We will also inform our partners about the further development in Moscow of plans for operations against NATO countries, as well as attempts to more deeply involve Belarus in the implementation of Russian objectives,” Zelenskyy said.
He noted that Ukrainian intelligence possesses documents from the Russian General Staff confirming that Russian forces are unable to fulfill the tasks set by the political leadership of the Russian Federation. Nevertheless, Russia is preparing further offensive operations and is ready to expand mobilization.
Zelenskyy said that under these conditions Ukraine aims to increase the proportion of irrecoverable losses among Russian servicemen, intensify the use of drones along the front line, and scale up long-range operations against Russian weapons production and the oil industry.
