A 13-year-old teenager placed stones on railway tracks in the Pukhavichy district. Since he has not reached the age of criminal responsibility, his parents will be punished instead, the Minsk Regional Executive Committee’s Department of Internal Affairs reported.
The incident occurred on the evening of May 16 near Drychyn station. Because of the teenager’s prank, the Minsk–Homiel and Homiel–Minsk trains had to brake urgently.
Police are conducting an investigation. The child’s parents will face administrative charges for failing to fulfill their parental responsibilities.
