The Investigative Committee has initiated special proceedings against 42-year-old Vadim Krivosheev. In September 2020, he was dismissed from his position as director of the Republican Center for Olympic Training (RCOP) in freestyle skiing for “poor ideological work within the team.” Krivosheev later served as a sports representative in the People’s Anti-Crisis Management (NAU).
He is charged under:
- Part 3 of Article 426 (as amended by Law No. 171-Z of January 9, 2019) — abuse of power or official authority;
- Part 1 of Article 357 (as amended by Law No. 112-Z of May 26, 2021) — conspiracy or other actions committed with the aim of seizing power;
- Part 3 of Article 361 (as amended by Law No. 133-Z of December 14, 2021) — calls for the use of sanctions or other actions harmful to national security;
- Part 3 of Article 361-1 (as amended by Law No. 112-Z of May 26, 2021) — creation of or participation in an extremist organization.
He has been asked to appear before the Investigative Committee’s Minsk Department.
