Sales of MAZ trucks in Russia continue to decline, according to new data from Avtostat-Info. The volumes of the Minsk-based manufacturer are falling against the backdrop of an overall contraction of the Russian truck market.
In November, 264 trucks of the Belarusian brand were sold in Russia — 43% fewer than in the same month last year. Over January–November, MAZ sales dropped by 44% to 2,859 units.
The Russian market as a whole fell by 46% in November to 5,071 units, while sales over 11 months decreased by 53% to 117,480 vehicles.
Market leader KamAZ posted a smaller decline — 24% to 15,900 units. Sitrak and Shacman also remain in the top three, despite showing the steepest sales drops: 63% and 71% respectively.
