The Information Ministry has updated the “Republican List of Extremist Materials.” Among other additions, it included the websites of Reform.news, Voice of America and dozens of social media pages.
In March 2024, the ministry added “information materials posted on the website ‘Reformation’ with the identifier https://www.reform.by” to the list, and in August last year it added the website Reform.news with the identifier “https://www.reformby.org”. This time, the decision concerns the “website called ‘Reformation’ with the identifier ‘https://reform.news'”. The decision was made on March 30, 2026, by the Lenin District Court of Mahiliou.
The updated list also includes:
- the website belinstitute.com;
- the Telegram channel “Disident”;
- Instagram pages “DAR – białoruska inicjatywa Aktywiści podwórkowi za granicą”, “svaboda_dumki”, “denis4belarus”;
- the VKontakte page “DysKUT”;
- the Odnoklassniki pages “Andrei Golub”, “Tsarev Korol”;
- Facebook pages “Tavarystva belaruskaj movy imia F. Skaryny. LIDA”, “Dzimitriy Pimenau”, “Ruslan Khazin”, “Andrei Sannikov”, “Ilya Turkov”, “Aleh Baradzin”, “Alena Lahavaya”, “Aliaksandr Knyrovich”, “BELARUS POST USSR & WORLD”, “BNR 106 Dzen Voli 2024”, “Tatsiana Koktysh”, “Razmova dnia”;
- Threads pages “volyapavuk”, “Buben Alexander”, “Dzmitryj Spirydau”, “adrenalintit”, “andruwkevi4”;
- TikTok pages “Lukashenko_Pogoda”, “vovaboiko127”, “Natalia”, “Adidas_2”, “tolko_news”, “AVANTIURIST.BY”, “Novosti Vitebska i oblasti”, “Antipol”, “NOVOSTI TRETIY REGION”.
The list also includes pages of additional international human rights organisations. On March 31, the Horki District Court declared the Instagram page “FIDH — International Federation for Human Rights” extremist. On March 27, the Baranavichy and Baranavichy District Court declared the Threads page “LIBERECO — Partnership for Human Rights” extremist.
Belarusian authorities regularly use accusations of extremism to target political opponents and dissent in general.
