The projects of Pavel Stankevich, who works in historical reenactment, have been designated as “extremist materials.” The ruling covers the following VKontakte pages: “Knights Club Barysfen,” “Medieval Show Theatre Barysfen,” “Journey to the Middle Ages — Weekend Tour,” “Pavel Stankevich,” as well as Stankevich’s Facebook account.
The Ministry of Information also added to the list of “extremist materials”:
- the publication “Here They Are, and Here We Are: Belarusian Poetry and Solidarity Verses,”
- the TikTok and Threads pages of the iSANS project,
- the YouTube channel and social media pages of the project “Leave the Carriage,”
- the Telegram channel “Yobani Bielorusy,”
- the Facebook pages “Belarusian Centre in Ukraine ‘Siabry,’” “Aleh Auchynnikau,” and “Halina Sarochyk.”
The Belarusian authorities regularly use accusations of extremism to target opponents and dissent in general.
