As of 8:00 p.m., restoration work was continuing in 259 settlements across Belarus affected by squally winds. This was reported by Dzmitry Kudravyets, head of the dispatch service at Belenergo. Power outages were recorded mainly in the Vitsyebsk and Minsk regions. Numerous cases of trees falling onto power lines have been reported.
Energy workers are operating in an intensified mode. Belenergo warned residents not to approach downed power lines closer than 8 meters. People are advised to report such incidents by calling emergency service numbers 115 and 144.
