The Polish Embassy in Minsk has changed the procedure for booking appointments at the consular section on issues related to the Karta Polaka. Applications for several procedures can now be submitted only via email.

The change applies to extending the validity of the Karta Polaka, obtaining a duplicate card, and issuing a new card in the event of changes to the holder’s personal data. To register, applicants must send an email to the consular section at [email protected] indicating their personal details, date of birth, registered address within the Minsk consular district and the validity period of their current card.

Applicants must also include in the subject line a specific phrase corresponding to the purpose of the visit, such as extending the card, obtaining a duplicate or changing personal data.

  • Karta Polaka_przedłużenie_pełnoletność
  • Karta Polaka_przedłużenie
  • Karta Polaka_duplikat
  • Karta Polaka_zmiana danych

The new procedure does not apply to all applicants. It will be available only to certain categories of citizens: those extending the Karta Polaka after reaching adulthood, people over the age of 65, and applicants facing difficult life circumstances. The embassy said such cases will be considered individually.

The diplomatic mission also reminded that the Karta Polaka may be obtained by individuals who declare belonging to the Polish nation and meet the requirements of the Law on the Karta Polaka of 7 September 2007. Among the main conditions are basic knowledge of the Polish language and familiarity with Polish culture, traditions and customs.

Applicants may also resolve certain issues related to the Karta Polaka directly in Poland. Voivodeship offices across the country accept applications for extending the validity of the card, issuing duplicates and replacing the document in case of changes to the holder’s personal data.
