The technical administrator of the Belarusian domain zones .BY and .БЕЛ, beCloud, has summed up the results of 2025.
Last year, the number of domains registered across the two domain zones exceeded 150,000. By the end of the year, 153,577 Belarusian domains were registered, including 138,121 in the .BY zone and 15,456 in the .БЕЛ zone. Over the year, the total number of Belarusian domains increased by 4,990. The .БЕЛ zone grew by 455 names.
A total of 25,887 new domains were registered in the two zones during the year, which is more than in 2024.
By the end of the year, 12,587 domains were registered to non-residents from 119 countries. The largest number of domain names belonged to residents of Russia (4,088), followed by Germany (1,438) and the United States (1,377).
Over the past year, the administrator conducted 10 stages of a charity auction. As a result, 646 domain names were registered, including 607 domains in the .BY zone and 39 domain names in the .БЕЛ zone. About 180,000 roubles were allocated for charitable purposes following the auctions.
