Mobile traffic limits will affect fewer than 15% of subscribers. This was stated by Minister of Communications and Informatization Kiryl Zaleski. The restrictions are being introduced to improve the quality of mobile communications.
“Resolution No. 38 is one element of this work. It provides for limiting the volume of traffic that a subscriber consumes at unlimited speed on unlimited tariff plans. This volume is set at 30 GB. After reaching 30 GB of traffic per month, the speed for such a subscriber will be reduced to 1 Mbit/s. This will affect fewer than 15% of subscribers who consume an excessively large amount of traffic for certain purposes,” he said, according to BelTA.
According to him, this will make it possible to reduce the load on mobile networks. Zaleski noted that, on average, one subscriber consumes about 16 GB of traffic per month.
