Aliaksandr Lukashenka has signed a decree “On Stimulating Robotisation“. The document is aimed at implementing the objectives of Belarus’ 2026–2030 socio-economic development programme, which envisages achieving a robot density of at least 100 units per 10,000 employees in the manufacturing sector by 2030.

The decree provides for two areas of support: the introduction of robots through favourable conditions for users and the development of domestic robot manufacturing and engineering services.

For robot users, the measures include a reduction of the taxable base through depreciation with a coefficient of 1.5, exemption from import VAT and a full VAT deduction when purchasing robots in Belarus, with reimbursement within 30 days.

For manufacturers and engineering companies, the decree exempts robots and their components from import VAT. Residents of the High Technologies Park will be allowed to sell robot components for warranty and post-warranty servicing, as well as lease out robots they produce, Lukashenka’s press service said.
