Aliaksandr Lukashenka is looking forward to meeting Xi Jinping, according to a birthday message sent to the Chinese president on the occasion of his birthday. Xi Jinping turns 73 today.
“I warmly recall our substantive discussions last year. I look forward to continuing our trusting dialogue and eagerly await our upcoming meeting, which will undoubtedly provide another powerful impetus to bilateral cooperation between Minsk and Beijing,” the message said.
It also noted that relations between Belarus and China are at an “unprecedentedly high level and are steadily developing along the path of an all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership.”
“A modernising and prosperous China today sets the highest standards of global leadership. This is largely the result of your far-sighted leadership and a consistent policy aimed at strengthening statehood and ensuring the country’s sustainable socio-economic progress. Your contribution to expanding international cooperation and maintaining global stability is also difficult to overestimate,” Lukashenka wrote.
He wished Xi Jinping good health and further achievements for the benefit of the friendly Chinese people.
