Alyaksandr Lukashenka is planning to visit Algeria and Kyrgyzstan, Belarusian television reported, citing Maksim Ryzhankou, the foreign minister.
“Algeria is one of the steadily developing and economically advanced countries in Africa — oil, gas, and a high level of development. The authorities of the country are making every effort to create jobs, strengthen social protection, and develop healthcare and food security. These are all areas where we have expertise and opportunities to provide support and work together with this country.
That is why both we and the Algerian authorities are interested in cooperation. Moreover, Algeria is a state that pursues an independent and sovereign policy, guided by its national interests and the interests of its people. This brings us closer and gives us reason to believe that the agreements will be equally meaningful,” he said.
Another visit is planned to Kyrgyzstan, where the CSTO Collective Security Council will meet.
“This will be a visit to Bishkek, where the CSTO Collective Security Council will take place. Very important decisions will be made there on the development of our organization and on strengthening the defense capabilities of our bloc,” Ryzhankou added.
