Preparations are underway in Belarus for an event dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence. This was stated by State Secretary of the Security Council Alyaksandr Valfovich. It may take the form of a closed meeting with Alyaksandr Lukashenka or a discussion at the Security Council level.

“Everything related to artificial intelligence must be taken to a new level — we need to discuss it and, accordingly, make decisions. In particular, such decisions will be made in Belarus. The president has been offered to hold a meeting in the near future. Possibly a closed meeting. Or a separate session of the Security Council devoted specifically to the development of artificial intelligence,” he said, as reported by BelTA.

Valfovich added that the outcome may be the creation of cyber troops within the Armed Forces or other military structures. According to him, Lukashenka has already supported the proposal for the meeting. Preparations for it will take place in the first quarter of 2026.
