Alyaksandr Lukashenka will make a working visit to the Russian Federation on 21–22 December to take part in EAEU and CIS summits. The events will be held in St Petersburg, his press service reported.
Lukashenka will attend the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on 21 December, which will take place in narrow and expanded formats. The agenda includes around two dozen issues. Heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union will discuss the formation of common markets for oil and petroleum products, key directions of international activities for the coming year, approaches to developing trade and economic cooperation with the EAEU’s main partners, and a number of other matters.
A meeting between Lukashenka and Russian President Vladimir Putin is planned.
The traditional informal meeting of CIS heads of state will take place on 22 December. They will assess prospects for integration cooperation and summarise the results of the outgoing year.
