Deputy head of the United Transitional Cabinet and head of the National Anti-Crisis Management Pavel Latushka held a series of meetings at the Council of Europe devoted to bringing Alyaksandr Lukashenka and his associates to justice in three areas: the unlawful transfer of Ukrainian children and their indoctrination, crimes against humanity against the Belarusian people, and the act of aggression against Ukraine.

During a meeting with Council of Europe Director General of Human Rights and Rule of Law Gianluca Esposito, Latushka handed over materials collected by the National Anti-Crisis Management on the transfer of Ukrainian children to Belarusian territory and their subsequent indoctrination in the interests of the “Russian world.” The sides agreed to send these materials to the Council of Europe headquarters.

The creation of a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine was also discussed separately. Latushka informed Esposito about the collection by the National Anti-Crisis Management of evidence of the act of aggression committed by Belarus’s top military and political leadership and agreed on procedures for transferring these data in the interests of justice. Esposito confirmed that the Council of Europe would continue its strategic support for Belarus’s democratic forces within the framework of the agreed action plan.

Latushka also met with Slovenia’s and Latvia’s permanent representatives to the Council of Europe, Berta Mrak and Agnese Vilde, who expressed support for Belarusians and readiness to promote further cooperation. The politician called on both countries to support the International Criminal Court prosecutor’s investigation into the Lukashenka regime’s crimes against the Belarusian people, the United Transitional Cabinet press service said.
