Since 24 November, Lithuanian police, customs officers, border guards, and military police have been intensively patrolling border areas every evening and night. Over five days this week, 1,500 people and nearly 1,300 vehicles were checked, and 21 administrative violation reports were issued.
Suspicious individuals, vehicles, and items inside cars are being inspected. Service dogs assist officers during the checks.
Police emphasized that active preventive measures along the border will continue.
