The Kalinoŭski Regiment has launched a fundraiser for the children of Belarusian volunteers. The collected funds will be used to prepare Christmas gifts.

“These are the children of those who today defend the freedom of Belarus and Ukraine; those who have returned from the front; and those whose parents will never return. They are growing up in different countries of the world — scarred by war and repression, but all of them are waiting for the Christmas miracle.

Our task is simple — to create this miracle for them together. We cannot travel between countries. But we can do what is in our hands: to place a gift under the Christmas tree that says: ‘We remember. We are near,’” the fundraiser description says.

The goal is to collect 8,300 euros — 100 euros per child.

The initiative was supported by the representative of the United Transition Cabinet Volha Zazulinskaya.

“The Kalinoŭski Regiment aims to raise €8,300 so that all the children of our heroes receive for the holiday a small but very necessary sign of attention. And I believe this is possible, because we have repeatedly proven that Belarusians know how to unite when it comes to kindness and the future of children,” she noted.
