The Belarusian Investigative Committee has launched special proceedings against Siarhei Mikhalok.

Mikhalok is charged under articles covering incitement of hatred (Part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code) and insulting Lukashenka (Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code).

The Investigative Committee has instructed Mikhalok to appear at the Leninski District Department of the Investigative Committee in Minsk.

It became known in January 2025 that a criminal case had been opened against Mikhalok under the article on insulting Lukashenka. His photograph appeared on police wanted boards.

Siarhei Mikhalok is the founder and leader of the bands Lyapis Trubetskoy, Brutto and Drezden. In 2020, he announced that none of his projects would perform in Belarus until the Lukashenka regime changed.
