The “A Country to Live in” Foundation has launched a fundraising campaign to support the “Zubrovyja Sciežki” summer camp for children from the families of Belarusian political prisoners, volunteers and civic activists.

According to the organisers, the camp will take place in the Białowieża Forest. Five sessions are planned this season, with a total of 90 children taking part, divided into groups of 18. The organisers said all groups have already been formed.

The project is primarily funded by the “A Country to Live in” Foundation with support from the International Humanitarian Fund, while part of the costs is covered by the participants’ parents. However, an additional €10,000 is needed to hold all five sessions.

The funds raised will be used to cover accommodation and three meals a day for the children, purchase materials for educational and creative activities, and pay for transportation.

A donation of €30 covers one day of accommodation and meals for one child, €100 covers educational and creative activities, and €600 covers one child’s full participation in the camp.

The fundraising campaign can be supported via this link.
