Belarus’s Information Ministry has updated the “Republican List of Extremist Materials.” Among the additions are the Instagram, Facebook and X accounts of “Kolegium Europy Wschodnej.” The decision was issued by the Leninski District Court of Brest on July 20, 2026.
The Jan Nowak-Jeziorański College of Eastern Europe, founded in Wrocław in 2001, is a Polish analytical and educational centre focusing on the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The institution organises international conferences, implements research and educational projects, and publishes the journals Nowa Europa Wschodnia and New Eastern Europe.
The following were also added to the list:
- the Instagram, Threads and YouTube accounts “Alexandr Rudenok”;
- the VK page “History of Belarus.”
In Belarus, extremism-related accusations are used by the authorities to target opponents of Lukashenka and suppress dissent more broadly.
