Belarus will introduce a new procedure for monitoring compliance with international road transport regulations from July 25. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn.
The document implements Decree No. 31, “On Improving the Activities of Customs Authorities”, signed by Aliaksandr Lukashenka on January 22, 2026. Under the decree, customs authorities are assigned responsibility for monitoring compliance with international road transport regulations at departmental customs clearance points.
The resolution introduces amendments to the Regulations on Road Transport Control at road border crossing points on Belarus’ state border. The document includes provisions governing inspections at departmental customs clearance points.
In particular, the inspections will cover compliance with requirements for international road transport operations, including the use of permits issued under Belarus’ international agreements on international road transport.
The new procedures will enter into force on July 25, 2026, the Belarusian government’s press service said.
