Fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle have been found in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region near the border with Russia, Inform.kz reports.
An explosion occurred after the drone crashed. Dry grass caught fire at the crash site over an area of about 500 square metres. The fire has been extinguished.
Police in the Aktobe region confirmed the discovery of the debris. An inspection is under way.
“The Aktobe Region Police Department, together with authorised services, is carrying out verification measures following the discovery of objects resembling fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle in the Kargaly district. The object was found outside a populated area. All circumstances of the incident are being established”, police said.
