Another drone carrying cigarettes that arrived from Belarus was intercepted in Lithuania, the Lithuanian border service reported.
Lithuanian border guards spotted the drone in the Milvydai village area of the Šalčininkai district on the night from Monday to Tuesday. The unmanned aircraft was forced to land using anti-drone equipment, but during the fall it became stuck in the top of a pine tree. Forestry workers were needed to remove the device from the tree.
A package containing 500 packs of Belarusian cigarettes worth 2,475 euros was attached to the drone. Administrative proceedings have been initiated.
