A driver died in a collision in Pukhavichy District after swerving to avoid a roe deer. The crash occurred on April 15 at about 9:30 a.m. on the 31st kilometre of the P-68 road between Pukhavichy, Uzda and Negarelaye, the Minsk regional traffic police said.
A 70-year-old driver of a Renault Sandero was travelling towards Uzda when he crossed into the oncoming lane while trying to avoid a roe deer that had run onto the road and collided with an Infiniti FX35 driven by a 44-year-old man.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the Renault Sandero was taken to hospital with injuries but later died. An investigation into the crash is under way.
