Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka. The meeting took place at the Mission of Belarusian Democratic Forces in Prague, a gesture described as a special sign of support for Belarus’ democratic forces and the Belarusian people.

Petr Macinka confirmed that, following his previous meeting with Tsikhanouskaya, a decision had been made to simplify visa procedures and issue visas to relatives of Belarusians residing in the Czech Republic. The official decision is expected to be published shortly, according to Tsikhanouskaya’s Office.

The parties discussed the military and political situation in the region, as well as issues related to international accountability for the Lukashenka regime. They also discussed the release of political prisoners, support for repressed Belarusians, and the possibility of the Czech Republic joining the International Humanitarian Fund.

The issue of appointing a dedicated special representative for cooperation with Belarus’ democratic forces was also raised during the meeting.

Tsikhanouskaya thanked the minister and the Czech Republic for their consistent support for Belarusians, democratic forces and their firm stance toward the Lukashenka regime.

“I am grateful to the minister for his trust, for supporting our office in Prague and the Belarusian cause on the international stage. The minister assured me that support for Belarus remains unwavering and that Belarusians can continue to count on the backing of the Czech government. I am especially grateful that we managed to resolve the issue of visas for relatives of Belarusians living in the Czech Republic. This will help many of our people who are currently facing serious difficulties,” Tsikhanouskaya said.
