Belarusian customs officers prevented the import into Belarus of a shipment of cream that had not been declared, the State Customs Committee reported.
A cargo truck was entering Belarus from Poland through the Berastavitsa checkpoint. The driver presented documents for the transportation of cosmetic products. During inspection, customs officers discovered 3,500 packages of cream worth about 100,000 rubles among the declared goods. In this way, the Polish carrier allegedly attempted to save 15,000 rubles on customs duties.
Administrative proceedings have been launched against the carrier. It faces a fine amounting to 30% of the value of the goods.
