The BYSOL foundation has summed up its preliminary results for 2025. Over the year, the fund raised more than €1.25 million in aid. This amount includes individual fundraising campaigns, BYSOL-led collections and fundraising for initiatives.

Over the year, the foundation conducted around 250 individual fundraisers, including 12 campaigns for Belarusian volunteers in Ukraine and two emergency fundraisers for released political prisoners (€111,000 and €260,000).

During the year, BYSOL recorded 140 evacuation cases. In some instances, people were evacuated together with their entire families.

“The evacuation team worked intensively throughout the year. This was influenced both by the ‘Gayun case’ and by the continuation of systematic repression. Even after political prisoners were released, they were not left alone — some of them were forced to seek safety outside Belarus,” BYSOL notes.

Almost 500 payments were made over the year to former political prisoners. The funds were used to purchase seasonal clothing, medicines and other essential necessities.

Ten initiative projects received mini-grants totalling nearly €37,000.

More than 2,000 requests of varying complexity were received by the foundation’s hotline.

“We want our solidarity to keep breaking records in 2026 as well. Support the BYSOL team to make this possible! We thank everyone who supported the fundraisers and our work — as well as colleagues, journalists, partners and donors!” BYSOL writes.
