Belavia plans to operate a Dubai–Minsk flight today. The flight will carry passengers holding tickets for the Dubai–Minsk service scheduled for February 28.

Flights from Minsk to Dubai on March 4–5 have been canceled. Repatriation flights are planned for those dates. The aircraft will depart the Belarusian capital empty in order to bring back passengers stranded in Dubai.

“At present, the process of obtaining permits to operate these flights is underway. Passengers whose departure will be arranged on repatriation flights will be informed by the airline or tour operators using the contact details provided at the time of booking,” the airline said.

It should be noted that some flights operated by other airlines from Dubai have already been successfully carried out today.

Belavia said that passengers of canceled flights may receive a refund or reschedule their tickets to another date. A decision on rebooking must be made by March 15; after that date, only refunds will be available.

Flights in the Persian Gulf area have been restricted amid a U.S. and Israeli operation against Iran. In response, Iran has attacked a number of Persian Gulf countries, including targeting airports. Overall, more than 3,000 Belarusian tourists are currently in Middle Eastern countries. This figure includes only those who purchased tour packages through travel agencies. More than 2,500 tourists are in the United Arab Emirates, 319 in Oman, and about 200 in Qatar.
