The Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs has designated the outlet “Plan B,” including its social media and Telegram channel, as an “extremist group.” The decision by the State Security Committee (KGB) dated November 5, 2025, No. 4/41-53, titled “On Recognising a Group of Citizens as an Extremist Formation and Banning Its Activities,” was adopted on November 5.

According to the record, the “extremist group” includes Volha Loyka (born December 13, 1978), Andrei Makhouski (born June 9, 1973), and Dzmitry Smirnou (born November 1, 1982).

“A group of citizens among the founders and participants of the ‘Plan B’ initiative is engaged in extremist activities,” the “reference information” states.

Belarusian law enforcement agencies routinely use extremism charges to target political opponents and suppress dissent.
