Belarusian citizens who were aboard the bus struck by a drone in Russia’s Bryansk Region have been transported to the Homiel Region, acting Bryansk Region Governor Yegor Kovalchuk said.
Kovalchuk described the attack as “a deliberate Ukrainian strike against civilians.” According to him, the tourist bus was attacked by a fixed-wing drone.
The two drivers sustained shrapnel injuries and received medical treatment.
Psychologists worked with the passengers at a temporary accommodation center, where they were also provided with hot meals.
The Belarusian citizens have since been transported to the Homiel Region. Six Russian citizens remain at the temporary accommodation center.
As previously reported, on July 2 a drone struck a passenger bus operating on the Minsk–Anapa route in the Zlynka District of Russia’s Bryansk Region. Belarusian state media earlier reported that there were 19 passengers on board.
