A Belarusian bookshop, Kamunikat.shop, has opened in Warsaw as a joint project of the Kamunikat foundation and the Belarusian Solidarity Centre. The shop is located at the centre’s premises at ul. Oleandrów 6, a few minutes’ walk from the Politechnika metro station.

As previously reported by the foundation’s head Yaraslau Ivaniuk, it will offer fiction and historical literature, children’s books and non-fiction. In addition to Kamunikat’s own publications, visitors will find books from publishers Gutenberg, Yanushkevich, Lohvinau, Skaryna Press, Viasna, Miane Niama, as well as publications by the Belarusian national minority in Poland.

The Kamunikat foundation has operated as an online library for more than 25 years and has also been engaged in publishing since 2021, producing more than 70 Belarusian books in print. The physical shop marks the next step after online sales and participation in book fairs. The range is expected to expand gradually with titles from other Belarusian publishers operating abroad.
