Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Ihar Sakreta met with the representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Russia and Belarus (concurrently) Arman Harutyunyan on the occasion of the start of his diplomatic mission in Belarus.
The parties exchanged views on priority areas of cooperation in the near future and agreed to jointly explore new international technical assistance projects of UNHCR for Belarus.
As the Foreign Ministry reported, Sakreta positively assessed the efforts of the UNHCR office to provide support in addressing the situation with migrants on the Belarusian border with EU states.
