On March 2, Aliaksandr Lukashenka signed a decree approving as a basis for negotiations a draft agreement between the governments of Belarus and Togo on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports.
The agreement provides that citizens of Belarus and Togo holding diplomatic and service passports will be allowed to enter and transit through Belarus and Togo without visas. The period of stay in the territory of the receiving state must not exceed 30 days from the date of entry, and the total duration within a calendar year must not exceed 90 days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorized to conduct negotiations on the draft international treaty and to sign it.
The agreement will help strengthen friendly relations between Belarus and Togo, Lukashenka’s press service said.
It was previously reported that on March 1 Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou departed on a visit to Togo and Ghana.
