The aviation authorities of Belarus and Thailand have agreed on a draft intergovernmental agreement on air services. According to the Transport Ministry, a corresponding memorandum of understanding was signed in Bangkok following bilateral consultations.
“The document approves the draft intergovernmental Air Services Agreement. It provides an opportunity for Belavia to begin operating direct regular flights to Thailand,” the statement said.
Belavia has already been operating direct flights to Thailand since January this year. However, these have so far been charter flights to the airports of Pattaya and Phuket. The possibility emerged after Belavia acquired three Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
