Belarus and Myanmar will sign an export credit agreement. Today, Council of Ministers Resolution No. 667 of 25 November was published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
The document approves the draft General Agreement between the Government of Belarus and the Government of Myanmar on the provision of export credits. The Ministry of Industry has been authorised to conduct negotiations and sign the agreement.
The General Agreement will be applied provisionally from the date of its signing until it enters into force.
Resolution No. 669 of 25 November also approves a draft agreement with Myanmar on cooperation in the field of science and technology. It is to be signed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while negotiations on the agreement are being conducted by the State Committee for Science and Technology.
Yesterday, a presidential decree also approved draft agreements with Myanmar:
- on visa-free travel,
- on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters,
- on the elimination of double taxation in respect of income taxes and on the prevention of tax avoidance and evasion.
A visit by Alyaksandr Lukashenka to Myanmar is expected in the near future.
